GIBS is a school for young scientists on electrochemical energy and power sources (batteries, supercapacitors, and components for fuel cells).

This year, the Quantum Future Academy will be held as a bi-national event! For the first time, students from Israel and Germany will be attending two one-week academies about quantum technologies. The first week will take place from 19th – 26th February 2023 in Israel, and the second meeting will be from 3rd – 10th September in Germany.

The Martin Buber Society of Fellows fosters interdisciplinary academic discourse among outstanding young scholars (post-doctoral). Candidates who have completed their PhD at an Israeli or German university, as well as other citizens of Israel or Germany with a PhD, are eligible to apply. Application is open for creative humanists and social scientists in all fields of the Humanities and Social Sciences. No connection of the subject matter to Jewish studies or Israel is required.

The Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator brings together established companies from Bavaria with students and young professionals from Bavaria, Israel and since 2021 also the United Arab Emirates. Through a co-creation framework, multinational teams solve technological and business challenges brought in by the companies. Launched in 2015, there have been ten editions so far with over 50 company partners and over 230 participants.

The Minerva Stiftung invites interested parties to apply to organise a German-Israeli Minerva-Gentner Symposium in 2024. The Minerva-Gentner Symposium is a format that brings together Israeli scientists with colleagues from Germany through conferences, workshops or similar events. A typical Minerva-Gentner Symposium has about 25-50 participants. Minerva-Gentner Symposia can be funded with up to EUR 30,000 each by the Minerva Foundation. The BMBF provides the funding, while the DFG has all scientific and administrative responsibility. Only 7 institutions in Israel (5 universities + Technion and WIS) are eligble to submit proposals which may come from all fields of science and research. The Minerva-Gentner Symposia are named after the physicist and former director of the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics, Wolfgang Gentner.
