Aim:
The goal is to promote active collaboration between clinical and medically oriented basic research groups in Germany and Israel with the specific aim of submitting joint grants to large European and binational funding agencies. Advanced Diagnostic Technologies offer a relatively wide clinically oriented basis to consolidate cutting edge scientific collaborations.
Topics:
The meeting will focus on New Diagnostic Technologies in Neuroscience, Cardiovascular Medicine and Oncology. Topics of special interest are the use of AI, physical and emotional trauma leading to brain dysfunction and emerging infectious diseases.
Participants:
Due to the network already established, the meeting will be coordinated by Charite and Sheba. The coordinators headed by Professor Friedemann Paul and Professor Joab Chapman will issue a call for participants to other institutions in Germany and Israel, including those from the Berlin area in Germany and those affiliated to Tel Aviv university in Israel. Every effort will be made to approve early career scientists from other institutions such as Tel Aviv Souraski, Rabin Center, Hadassah, and Rambam Medical Centers. The aim is to identify from the applicants 10 early career clinical and basic science researchers from each country (20 overall) with potential or ongoing collaboration which will be enhanced and focused by the meeting.
The aim is to support mainly early to mid-career applicants with complimentary capabilities and the potential to create larger networks.
