German science ministers and academia representatives visit Israel

Solidarity with Israeli partners in science and strengthening German-Israeli cooperation

Eight science ministers from the German federal states and the heads of the German Rectors’ Conference visited Israel in March 2024. The aim of the three-day delegation trip was to intensify and expand science and university contacts.

Highlights of the trip included the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv University and the Weizmann Institute. The delegation also visited Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, a memorial to the hostages who are still being held captive by Hamas, and the Yad Vashem memorial.
