Max Planck – Weizmann Joint Postdoctoral Program

The Max Planck Society (MPG), based in Germany, and the Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS), located in Israel, offer outstanding postdoctoral researchers in the fields of physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, earth sciences and life sciences a prestigious position in a unique research environment. The programme is designed to last 4 years, with half of the time spent at MPG and half at WIS. Relocation expenses are covered up to a fixed ammount.

Applications for the 16th German-Israeli Frontiers of Humanities Symposium

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation invites Germany-based researchers from various fields to apply to participate in the 16th German-Israeli Frontiers of Humanities Symposium (GISFOH), organised jointly with the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities (IASH), focusing on the theme of “Access”. The interdisciplinary symposium will take place in Jerusalem from 8 to 11 November 2026.

ERA4Health: Prevent Overweight and Obesity Call 2026

ERA4Health brings together public funders of health research in the European Research Area. Both Israel and Germany participate in the Prevent-OO Call 2026. Topics: 1. Understanding causes of obesity and overweight and its complications with mechanistic research; 2. Prevention and public health strategies for critical transitional periods of life. Project proposals must cover only one of the two topics and should follow a multidisciplinary approach.
