Other Funding Measures

In addition to the BMFTR, other federal ministries can also provide funding for bilateral projects with research relevance in their department. The federal government’s “Forschung und Innovation” funding advisory service provides information on announcements from all ministries and offers a newsletter subscription for this purpose.

Under Research funding system, the “Research in Germany” website provides information on the various research funding organisations as well as databases and metadatabases in which specific funding programmes can be searched.

The Association of German Foundations provides information on the services offered by foundations. The Association’s online portal lists about 10,000 foundations with internet addresses that are active in Germany.
