For finding specific funding opportunities for German-Israeli cooperation as well as generally available funding options, a range of additional information resources is available:
General information on the Israeli research landscape and current funding measures can be found on the web portal Kooperation International, which is coordinated by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Kooperation International is part of the Federal Government’s strategy for the internationalisation of education, science and research, which is coordinated by the BMBF. The portal provides information on international research, innovation and cooperation and links funding, research and education organisations.
In addition to the BMBF, other federal ministries can also provide funding for bilateral projects with research relevance in their department. The federal government’s “Forschung und Innovation” funding advisory service provides information on announcements from all ministries and offers a newsletter subscription for this purpose.
Under Research funding system, the “Research in Germany” website provides information on the various research funding organisations as well as databases and metadatabases in which specific funding programmes can be searched.
The Association of German Foundations provides information on the services offered by foundations. The Association’s online portal lists about 10,000 foundations with internet addresses that are active in Germany.
Some foundations are particularly active in scientific cooperation with Israel. You can find out more about them on the page “Other Organsiations supporting the Cooperation”.
