© AA Germany and Israel: 60 years of diplomatic relations celebrated with new logo
Against the backdrop of a dark past, the fact that Israel and Germany have been maintaining diplomatic relations for 60 years now is a true miracle. On this occasion, the two foreign ministers launched a competition to design a joint logo to symbolise the special relationship. The winning design was created by Uri Mor.

To counter this, members of the Alliance of German Science Organisations, under the auspices of the Helmholtz Association and the Max Planck Society, organised a German-Israeli symposium at the Harnack House in Berlin from 15 to 17 December 2024.

Since 2021, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has been funding anti-Semitism research projects with 12 million euros. This commitment will now be continued at the same level in a further funding phase. The corresponding funding guideline, for which projects can now apply, was published on 16 December 2024.
